Ecofont – make printing more environment firendly

“The prints we make for our ‘daily use’ not only use paper, but also ink. According to SPRANQ creative communications (Utrecht, The Netherlands) your ink cartridges (or toner) could last longer.
SPRANQ has therefore developed a new font: the Ecofont.”

  1. Doomed to going nowhere.

First, it is much more practical to save ink by using ‘fast’ or ‘draft’ settings when printing, than be limited to a single specific typeface (which apart from other issues can give interoperability problems).

Second, there is somewhat of a design flaw. Sans serif fonts are best used for onscreen reading. Serif fonts are best used for printing. So why have they designed a sans serif font for printing… really they should have *at least* one of each, to allow choice.

  2. Great site, I will be back. Well done
